McDonald Jones Home Headquarters: Electrical Design and Installation
Lightspeed Electrical led the electrical design and installation for McDonald Jones Home’s new flagship headquarters, transforming the space into a modern and efficient workplace. The project involved:
- A complete showroom installation on the ground floor
- 180 workstations and offices on the upper level
- Removal of over 2 tonnes of outdated cabling from the previous system
The showroom featured:
- 800 lighting fixtures designed to enhance product displays with precision
The upper floors included:
- 400 LED panel lights to optimize the office environment
- 300 data points for seamless connectivity
- A state-of-the-art server room with two full-height server racks
- Upgrades to switchboards and general power systems
- Floor boxes and TV connectivity options for improved functionality
Despite strict deadlines and unforeseen challenges, the execution remained on track, with all installations completed as planned. Insight Building Services commended Lightspeed Electrical’s ability to manage project variations efficiently while maintaining the project timeline.
